Wine Grotto Panel
(Landrum, SC)
This arched-top panel was made for a wine grotto in a mountain house in northern Greenville County. The design ties with the house's overall Tuscan style and decor by featuring several bunches of grapes surrounding a "window" of diamond shapes with "columns" on each side. The top of the panel has a floral motif and the bottom has a pastoral scene. We used a variety of opalescent glasses in the top, bottom, and sides, and two textured clears for the diamonds. The grapes are mauve translucent glass fired in our kiln. The panel was done in copper foil; it measures about 36" tall by 23" wide. |
